We are not the Comune di Amalfi, the Arcidiocesi di Amalfi-Cava de' Tirreni, Azienda Autonoma di Soggiorno e Turismo, or a tour operator, and we sell nothing directly. Why this site exists
A trip to Amalfi and the Amalfi Coast punishes guesswork. SITA buses cannot sell tickets on board and leave unprepared travellers stranded at terminals; ferry schedules shift by season; and the Duomo complex (Cathedral, Crypt of St. Andrew, and Chiostro del Paradiso) charges €3 at the door but confuses visitors who think the whole complex is either completely free or requires a costly third-party reseller voucher.
Every price, opening hour, and transport tariff here is read directly off official institutional sources, municipal decrees, and carrier boards, and stamped with the exact date it was verified. Where an official authority states no number, the guide says 'not stated' rather than inventing an estimate.
Where the information comes from
Opening hours, seasonal closures, and admission fees are drawn from the official entities themselves: diocesiamalficava.it (Duomo di Sant'Andrea and Chiostro del Paradiso), museodellacarta.it (Paper Museum), carabinieri.it (Valle delle Ferriere reserve permits), villarufolo.it (Villa Rufolo in Ravello), comune.amalfi.sa.it (civic offices and Arsenale), travelmar.it (scheduled coastal ferries), and sitasudtrasporti.it (regional buses). Each page prints its verification date in its freshness box.
Tour prices, review counts, and operator details reflect live booking platforms (GetYourGuide, Tiqets) on the stated check date. Practical navigation tips — which pier handles which hydrofoil, walking stairs counts, and luggage restrictions — are verified against ground reality.
What we do not claim
There is no invented author persona here, no fictional local guide who claims to live in a cliffside cottage, and no claim that an editor personally attended every tour. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours, hold private boats, or inspect church vestries.
We do not process bookings or store payment details. Every availability button directs you to the certified operator or platform where terms, refunds, and cancellations are managed directly. Official museum and church entrances are linked plainly without affiliate tags whenever direct purchase is best.
